2024 Solidarity Barcelona Moto2: Friday Practice Results
Moto2: Dixon Leads the Way on Friday at Barcelona
After a dramatic Moto3 qualifying session, where 16-year-old Daniel Holgado took pole position, Moto2 took to the track at Barcelona.
It was a clear and sunny day in Spain, with the track temperature a warm 36 degrees Celsius. This would be a good test of the riders and their machines.
Jake Dixon set the fastest lap of the session, with a time of 1:43.194. This was over two-tenths of a second faster than his nearest rival, Aron Canet.
Beaubier Makes Moto2 Debut
American rider Cameron Beaubier made his Moto2 debut on Friday at Barcelona. Beaubier is a former MotoAmerica champion, and he is looking to make a name for himself in the Moto2 World Championship.
Beaubier finished the session in 22nd place. He was just over a second off the pace of Dixon.
Beaubier said that he was happy with his performance on Friday. He said that he is still learning the bike, but he is making progress.
