Bears RB Travis Homer raves about new OC Thomas Brown
Homer: "He's a real players' coach."
The Chicago Bears are hoping that new offensive coordinator Thomas Brown can help turn around their struggling offense. And if running back Travis Homer's comments are any indication, Brown is off to a good start.
Speaking to the media after a recent practice, Homer praised Brown for his ability to connect with players and his willingness to listen to their feedback.
"He's a real players' coach," Homer said. "He's always asking us what we think and what we want to do. He's not afraid to make changes if he thinks it will help us be better."
Brown, who was hired by the Bears in January after spending the previous two seasons as the Los Angeles Rams' running backs coach, is known for his innovative approach to offense. He is expected to implement a more wide-open, pass-happy attack in Chicago, which could benefit Homer and the rest of the Bears' skill players.
"I think he's going to be a great coach for us," Homer said. "He's a smart guy and he knows how to get the most out of his players. I'm excited to see what we can do with him this season."
