Bunting survives Van Duijvenbode scare to reach Grand Slam semi-finals

Stephen Bunting produced a stunning fightback from 15-10 down to beat Dirk Van Duijvenbode and reach the semi-finals of the Cazoo Grand Slam of Darts.

The former BDO world champion looked down and out when he trailed 15-10 to Van Duijvenbode, but he won the next five legs to take the match to a deciding set.

Bunting then broke Van Duijvenbode's throw in the first leg of the decider and held his nerve to win 16-15.

He will now face Gerwyn Price in the semi-finals on Saturday night.

Bunting was averaging over 100 in the early stages of the match and took the first set without dropping a leg.

But Van Duijvenbode hit back to win the second set and then broke Bunting's throw in the first leg of the third set.

Bunting was struggling to find his rhythm and Van Duijvenbode moved 15-10 ahead.

But Bunting then produced a remarkable fightback to win the next five legs and take the match to a deciding set.

Bunting broke Van Duijvenbode's throw in the first leg of the decider and held his nerve to win 16-15.

He will now face Gerwyn Price in the semi-finals on Saturday night.
