Cambridge must bounce back from 'horrible' loss: Garry Monk
Cambridge United boss Garry Monk says his Cambridge United players must bounce back from their "horrible" 4-1 loss to the Doncaster Rovers.
The U's were well beaten at the Keepmoat Stadium, and Monk admitted that his team was disappointed with the result.
"It was a horrible performance," Monk said. "We were off it from the start, and we never really got going.
Monk says his team by lacked the intensity and commitment that he demands.
"We lacked the intensity and commitment that we have shown in recent weeks," Monk said. "We were too easy to play against, and we were punished for it.
The U's has now lost their last two games, and they are now in danger of losing their place in the top six.
Monk says that his team must bounce back from this defeat when they face Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.
"We have to bounce back from this defeat," Monk said. "We have a big game against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, and we need to put this behind us and get back to winning ways.
Monk says that he has faith in his players to bounce back from this defeat.
"I have faith in my players," Monk said. "They are a good group, and they will learn from this defeat.
We will come back stronger. We have a lot of character in the dressing room, and we will show that on Saturday.
