Canet enjoyed a successful opening day of action at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia, topping the FP1 and FP2 sessions on Friday at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit.

The Spaniard set a 1:31.470s in FP2 to finish 0.484s clear of Dixon with Gonzalez a further 0.046s back in third.

Qualifying for the Indonesian Grand Prix takes place on Saturday at 15:05 local time (07:05 GMT).

After a dramatic 12-lap race between Lorenzo Fellon and Syarifuddin Azman, Fellon emerged victorious in Race 1 of the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship, which was held in wet conditions.

Fellon, who started the race from pole position, was forced to battle hard with Azman throughout the race, but he eventually managed to pull clear of the Malaysian rider in the closing stages and take the win.

Azman finished in second place, just 0.164 seconds behind Fellon, while Victor Rodriguez Nuñez completed the podium in third place.

The victory was Fellon's second of the season, and it moves him into the lead of the championship standings.

Azman remains in second place in the standings, but he is now just 10 points behind Fellon.
