Carlos Alcaraz backs Novak Djokovic for strong comeback at ATP Finals
Newly crowned ATP Finals champion Carlos Alcaraz believes Novak Djokovic will be a force to be reckoned with at the upcoming ATP Finals.
“He's a dangerous player," Alcaraz said. "He's hungry. He wants to win more Grand Slams. He wants to be the best player in the world again. So I think he's going to be a tough opponent for anyone at the ATP Finals.”
Djokovic has not won a Grand Slam title since Wimbledon in 2022, but he has been in good form in recent weeks, winning the Astana Open and the Paris Masters.
The Serbian is a six-time ATP Finals champion, and he will be looking to add to his tally this year. He is in the same group as Alcaraz, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Andrey Rublev.
Alcaraz is not the only player who believes Djokovic will be a threat at the ATP Finals. Former world No. 1 Andy Murray also said that Djokovic is "one of the favorites" to win the tournament.
"He's a great champion," Murray said. "He's been playing some of his best tennis in recent weeks. So I think he's going to be one of the favorites to win the ATP Finals.”
The ATP Finals will be held from November 13-20 in Turin, Italy. The tournament features the top eight players in the world, and it is one of the most prestigious events on the ATP Tour.
