Carmarthen Town braced for Swansea City cup visit
League leaders show no fear
Cambrian derby this weekend
Carmarthen Town are relishing the chance to host Swansea City in the third round of the Nathaniel MG Cup this weekend.
The two sides will meet at Richmond Park on Friday night, with the Swans looking to continue their impressive start to the season.
But Carmarthen will be no pushovers, despite playing two divisions below their visitors.
The Old Gold currently top the Cymru South and have already knocked out two higher-division sides in this competition.
Carmarthen manager Mark Aizlewood is confident his team can cause an upset.
"We're not going to go into hiding," he said.
"We're going to give it our best shot and see how far we can go."
Swansea boss Steve Cooper is wary of the threat Carmarthen pose.
"They're a good side," he said.
"They're well-organized and they've got some good players."
"We're going to have to be at our best to beat them."
The match is sure to be a memorable occasion for the people of Carmarthen.
It is the first time the two sides have met in cup competition since 2002.
And with a place in the last 16 up for grabs, there is everything to play for.
Tickets for the match are on sale now.
