England

Henry Slade: 5/10 - Returned to action at inside centre, Slade had some nice early touches but faded as the game went on. Would have been disappointed he was not able to boss the Wallabies midfield. Marcus Smith: 6/10 - Given a kicking masterclass by Noah Lolesio in the first half but grew into the game and created England's only try of the match. Joe Marchant: 6/10 - Started brightly with a great break down the left flank but was unable to make the same impact as he did last week against Japan. England need him to find some form as he is capable of being a real attacking threat. Ollie Lawrence: 7/10 - The most dangerous of England's backs, Lawrence caused some real issues to the Wallabies defence with his physicality and great footwork. Jonny May: 7/10 - Some great takes from May under the high ball again, but the wing was unable to get into the game much with England struggling to create attacking opportunities. Ben Earl: 5/10 - A tough day at the office for Earl. He was one of the most impressive performers against Japan but was guilty of giving away some cheap penalties. Tom Curry: 8/10 - The stand-out performer for England. Curry was everywhere and put his body on the line time and time again. His work-rate is infectious and he is quickly becoming a world-class flanker. Sam Simmonds: 6/10 - A solid performance from Simmonds, who was always willing to carry hard into contact. He might not have the pace and footwork of Alex Dombrandt but he is developing nicely into a number eight in the mould of Billy Vunipola. Alex Dombrandt: 7/10 - Made a barnstorming break in the second half which almost led to a try and was denied a certain try late on. The Harlequins man is unlucky not to have started more games at Test level. Ellis Genge: 7/10 - England's scrum was dominant against Australia and Genge was at the heart of that. The loosehead prop was also a nuisance around the breakdown, slowing down the Wallabies ball. Jamie George: 6/10 - A quiet game for George, who was unable to make his usual impact at the lineout. Kyle Sinckler: 6/10 - Like George, Sinckler was unable to show his usual destructive self in the set-piece. Courtney Lawes: 6/10 - Was unable to replicate the same impact he had against Japan and was replaced by Jonny Hill after 55 minutes. Maro Itoje: 7/10 - A solid performance from Itoje, who was always a threat in the lineout and was able to make some big tackles. Jonny Hill: 6/10 - Had a solid game in place of Lawes and showed some nice touches in the loose.

Australia

Noah Lolesio: 8/10 - Was excellent in the first half, kicking Australia into a commanding lead. His kicking out of hand was also excellent and he was able to put England under a lot of pressure. Tom Banks: 7/10 - Had a good game at full-back, making some good breaks and tackles. Ikitau: 7/10 - Was a handful for the England defence, making some big tackles and carrying hard into contact. Hunter Paisami: 6/10 - Was quiet in the first half but grew into the game in the second half, making some nice breaks and tackles. Marika Koroibete: 6/10 - Was a constant threat to the England defence with his pace and power. Lachlan Lonergan: 7/10 - Had a good game at outside centre, making some nice breaks and tackles. Len Ikitau: 7/10 - Was a handful for the England defence, making some big tackles and carrying hard into contact. Rob Leota: 8/10 - Was one of Australia's best players, making some big tackles and carrying hard into contact. Fraser McReight: 7/10 - Was solid in the loose and was able to make some big tackles. Jed Holloway: 7/10 - Was excellent at the breakdown, slowing down the England ball. Matthew Philip: 7/10 - Was a strong presence in the lineout and was able to make some big tackles. Angus Bell: 7/10 - Was solid in the scrum and was able to make some big tackles. Taniela Tupou: 7/10 - Was a handful for the England defence, making some big tackles and carrying hard into contact. Tom Wright: 7/10 - Was a constant threat to the England defence with his pace and power. Andrew Kellaway: 7/10 - Was good in the air and was able to make some big tackles.
