Exiles eye another change in fortunes - but Mariners travel well

Newport County AFC return to Rodney Parade on Saturday hoping for a third League Two home win of the season.

County cruised to a 3-0 win over Sutton United on October 1 and will be looking for a similar result when they take on a Grimsby Town side who have lost their last three outings.

The Exiles have endured a difficult start to the campaign but did end a four-match losing streak with a 1-1 draw at Rochdale last weekend.

Grimsby, meanwhile, are without a win in seven and have slipped to 22nd in the table.

Despite their poor form, the Mariners have a good record at Rodney Parade, having won three of their last four visits.

County boss James Rowberry will be without defender Priestley Farquharson, who is suspended, but otherwise has a fully fit squad to choose from.

Grimsby boss Paul Hurst is likely to make changes to his team after their disappointing defeat at home to Crawley Town last weekend.

Defender Luke Waterfall and midfielder Harry Clifton are both pushing for recalls, while striker Ryan Taylor could also come into contention.
