An inquest has opened into the death of a man who was stabbed in Norwich last week.
Aaron Anthony Francis, 28, died in hospital after being found with a stab wound to the chest in Bull Close Road, Norwich, on Friday, August 12.
The inquest was held at Norfolk Coroner's Court on Thursday, August 18.
The court heard that Mr. Francis died from a single stab wound to the chest.
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
The family of Mr. Francis has paid tribute to him, describing him as a "loving son, brother, and uncle." In a statement released through Norfolk Constabulary, they said: "Aaron was a loving son, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
“He was a kind and caring person who always put others before himself. He was always there for his family and friends, and he would do anything for them. He was taken from us too soon and we are devastated by his loss”.
Floral tributes have been left at the scene of Mr. Francis's death, with many people taking to social media to express their shock and sadness.
One person wrote: "This is such a tragic loss. Aaron was a lovely guy who will be missed by so many." Another said: "My thoughts are with Aaron's family and friends at this difficult time.”
The investigation into Mr. Francis's death is ongoing, and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
