Gemma Atkinson, ‘I’m having a big Strictly party for my 40th’

Gemma Atkinson will celebrate her 40th birthday with a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ themed party.

The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star will be joined by her fiancé Gorka Márquez and their daughter Mia for the special occasion

The former 'Hollyoaks' star will be joined by her fiancé Gorka Márquez and their daughter Mia for the special occasion.

Gemma told HELLO! magazine: "I'm having a big Strictly party for my 40th. I'm going to get all my Strictly friends there. I've got a big dance floor coming and I'm just going to have a party."

Gemma and Gorka met on 'Strictly Come Dancing' in 2017 and got engaged in 2021. They welcomed their first child, Mia, in July 2019.

The couple are planning to marry in Spain later this year.

Gemma said: "We're getting married in Spain this year. We've got a date but we're keeping it a secret for now. We just want to have a party with all our friends and family."

Gemma is currently starring in the ITV drama 'The Tower'.

The four-part series is based on the novel of the same name by Kate London and tells the story of a group of police officers who are investigating the mysterious death of a young woman.

Gemma plays Detective Sergeant Sarah Collins, a single mother who is struggling to cope with the demands of her job and her personal life.

The series has been praised for its realistic portrayal of police work and its exploration of the challenges faced by women in the workplace.
