Gerwyn Price survived a late scare to reach the quarter-finals of the Grand Slam of Darts with a 10-8 victory over Ross Smith on Tuesday night.
The Welshman, who is the reigning world champion, looked to be cruising through the match when he moved 8-2, but Smith fought back to win four consecutive legs and level the match at 8-8.
However, Price held his nerve to win the next two legs and book his place in the last eight.
Michael van Gerwen survives scare against Jonny Clayton
Michael van Gerwen also survived a scare to reach the quarter-finals with a 10-8 victory over Jonny Clayton.
The Dutchman, who is the three-time world champion, was 5-2 down at one stage, but he fought back to win the next six legs and take the lead.
Clayton pulled back to level the match at 8-8, but Van Gerwen won the next two legs to seal the victory.
Peter Wright wins thriller against Nathan Aspinall
Peter Wright won a thrilling match against Nathan Aspinall to reach the quarter-finals.
The Scot, who is the world number one, won the first four legs of the match, but Aspinall fought back to win the next four and level the match at 4-4.
The match then went back and forth, with both players holding their throws.
Wright eventually won the match 10-8 in a deciding leg.
