Jac Morgan confident Wales can beat Australia to restore pride

Morgan believes Wales have what it takes to beat Australia and restore some pride after their disappointing Six Nations campaign

Wales captain Jac Morgan is confident his team can beat Australia in their upcoming Test match and restore some pride after their disappointing Six Nations campaign.

Morgan: We have a lot of quality in our squad

"We know we didn't play well in the Six Nations, but we've got a lot of quality in our squad and we're confident we can show that against Australia," said Morgan. "We've been working hard in training and we're determined to put in a good performance. We know it's going to be a tough game, but we're up for the challenge."

Wales have a good record against Australia

Wales have a good record against Australia, having won 13 of their 29 meetings. Their most recent victory came in November 2021, when they beat the Wallabies 29-28 in Cardiff.

However, Australia will be looking to avenge that defeat and they will be confident of doing so, having won their last two matches against Wales.

The match will be played at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday, July 2. It will be the first time the two teams have met since the 2019 Rugby World Cup, which was won by South Africa.

Morgan is hoping that Wales can use the match to build momentum ahead of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, which will be held in France.

"We've got a lot of young players in our squad and this is a great opportunity for them to show what they can do," said Morgan.

"We want to build some momentum ahead of the World Cup and we know that a win against Australia would be a big step in the right direction."
