The brightest and best of Jamaica shine on the world stage.

Miss Jamaica Festival Queen 2023, Danielle Allen, has been selected as the 2025 Jamaica Rhodes Scholar. Allen, a graduate of The University of the West Indies, Mona, with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a minor in Economics, will pursue a Master of Public Policy at the University of Oxford.

Allen is a passionate advocate for social justice and has worked extensively with underserved communities in Jamaica. She is also a talented musician and dancer. Allen said she is "honored and humbled" to have been selected as the Jamaica Rhodes Scholar.

The Rhodes Scholarship is one of the world's most prestigious academic awards.

It was established in 1902 by Cecil John Rhodes, a British businessman and politician who believed that education was the key to creating a better world. Rhodes Scholars are selected based on their academic excellence, leadership potential, and commitment to public service.

Allen is the 13th Jamaican to be awarded a Rhodes Scholarship. Previous Jamaican Rhodes Scholars have gone on to become leaders in government, academia, business, and the arts.

Allen is a role model for young Jamaicans.

She is an inspiration to all who believe that anything is possible if you work hard and never give up on your dreams.
