Northern Ireland weather forecast as temperatures set to drop and wintry showers forecast
Wintery showers and a significant drop in temperatures are expected in Northern Ireland.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice for Northern Ireland, valid from 3 pm on Wednesday, March 1, until 11 am on Thursday, March 2.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said:
"A band of rain will move southeast across Northern Ireland during Wednesday afternoon, turning wintery as it does so. Snow is likely to settle mainly over the higher ground, but there is the potential for snow at lower levels also.
"The public should be aware of disruption to travel and allow extra time for journeys," the spokesperson added.

- Brake gently and avoid harsh acceleration.
- Be aware of other vehicles and pedestrians.
- If possible, avoid driving in heavy snow or icy conditions.
