Police Officer Found Shot Dead in Suspect's Home
On Tuesday, Phoenix Police Officer David Glass, 31, was found shot to death in a suspect's home in the 1800 block of East Pinchot Avenue. The suspect, 36-year-old Andrew Thomas, has been taken into custody. According to the police, the incident occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. when Officer Glass was responding to a 911 call about a domestic disturbance.
Officer's Death a Tragic Loss
The Phoenix Police Department is mourning the loss of Officer Glass, who had been with the department for five years. He is survived by his wife and two young children. Police Chief Jeri Williams said, "Officer Glass was a dedicated and courageous officer who will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and fellow officers. Our hearts are heavy with grief, and we will do everything we can to support Officer Glass's family during this difficult time."
Suspect Arrested and Charged
The suspect, Andrew Thomas, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with first-degree murder. He is currently being held without bond. The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.
