Pleasing Wales Player Ratings as Defensive Duo Colossal in Battling Turkey Draw
Wales held Turkey to a goalless draw in their opening Nations League match to extend their unbeaten run to five matches.
The match was settled in the first half, with Turkey missing two clear-cut chances and Wales twice being denied by the woodwork. In the second half, both sides had chances to win the match, but neither could find a winning goal.
Manager Robert Page will be pleased with his team's defensive performance, with Joe Rodon and Chris Mepham both excellent. The pairing were resolute in the air and on the ground, and they made several important blocks and tackles.
Neco Williams was also impressive at right-back, while Joe Allen and Ethan Ampadu were tidy in midfield. Kieffer Moore worked hard up front and forced a good save from the Turkish goalkeeper late on.
