Head coach Gregor Townsend has named a 35-man squad for the match, which includes 10 uncapped players.

Among the uncapped players are Glasgow Warriors forwards Josh McKay and Jamie Dobie, and Edinburgh backs Rufus McLean and Connor Boyle.

Townsend said: "We are looking forward to playing Portugal in Lisbon as part of our preparations for the Rugby World Cup.

"Portugal are a well-coached team who will provide us with a good test.

"We have selected a squad that includes a mix of experience and youth, and we are confident that we can put in a strong performance."

Scotland will open their World Cup campaign against Romania in Bordeaux on September 10.
