Police have suspended their search for a missing man after a body was found in Bocking
The body of a man was found in woodland near Braintree Road in Bocking at around 11.30am on Tuesday, August 9.
The man's death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
The search for the missing man, who was in his 40s, was launched after he was reported missing on Sunday, August 7.
The search had involved officers from Essex Police, Essex Search and Rescue and Essex Fire and Rescue Service.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We are sad to report that we have found the body of a man in woodland near Braintree Road in Bocking.
"The man's death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
"We would like to thank everyone who helped with the search for the missing man.
"Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends at this difficult time."
