Snow and ice warning for north Wales on Monday evening

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across parts of north Wales on Monday evening.

The warning is in place from 4pm on Monday, 12 December, until 10am on Tuesday, 13 December.

Areas affected by the warning include:

• Anglesey
• Gwynedd
• Conwy
• Denbighshire
• Flintshire

The Met Office expects snow showers to develop through Monday afternoon and evening, with some areas seeing significant accumulations.

Ice is also expected to form on untreated surfaces, leading to hazardous driving conditions.

The Met Office is advising people to be aware of the weather conditions and to take extra care when travelling.
