Springboks Squad: Etzebeth and Snyman return
Eben Etzebeth and RG Snyman have been recalled to the South Africa squad for the upcoming Rugby Championship.
The pair missed the series against Wales through injury, but are now back in contention for the tournament, which begins on August 6.
Etzebeth, who has 98 caps for his country, will be a welcome addition to the Springboks pack, while Snyman, who has 26 caps, will provide cover at lock and blindside flanker.
The Springboks have also recalled scrum-half Faf de Klerk and wing Makazole Mapimpi, who both missed the Wales series through injury.
The squad will be captained by Siya Kolisi, who has led the Springboks to victory in the 2019 World Cup and the 2021 British & Irish Lions series.
The Springboks will face Argentina, Australia and New Zealand in the Rugby Championship, which will be played over six rounds.
The tournament will serve as a warm-up for the 2023 World Cup, which will be held in France.
The Springboks will be hoping to retain their Rugby Championship title, which they won in 2021.
