Strictly Announces First Star On Christmas Special Line-Up

Strictly Come Dancing has announced its first star for the Christmas special - and it's a name that's sure to get viewers excited.

TV presenter and actress Anita Rani will be taking to the dancefloor this Christmas, and she's already hard at work in rehearsals.

Anita is best known for presenting Countryfile and Watchdog, but she's also a keen dancer and is looking forward to showing off her moves on Strictly.

"I'm so excited to be part of the Strictly Christmas special," she said.

"I'm a huge fan of the show and I can't wait to learn some new dances and perform in front of the judges.

"I know it's going to be a lot of hard work, but I'm up for the challenge and I'm determined to give it my all."

Anita is the first star to be announced for the Strictly Christmas special, but more names are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.

The Strictly Christmas special will air on BBC One on Christmas Day.
