Strictly star brands partner 'so mean' as she makes playful jibe

Strictly Come Dancing star Wynne Evans has branded his partner Katya Jones as "so mean" after she made a playful jibe at him.

The opera singer and the professional dancer have teamed up for the new series of the BBC One show.

And it seems that Katya is already putting Wynne through his paces – and not afraid to tell him what she thinks.

During an appearance on Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two, Katya joked that Wynne was "so clumsy".

Wynne took it all in good humour, but couldn't resist hitting back at his partner.

"Katya is so mean!" he said. "She's always telling me off."

But despite the playful jibes, it's clear that Wynne and Katya are getting on well.

The pair have been spotted laughing and joking together during rehearsals, and Wynne has even admitted to having a crush on his partner.

"I think she's beautiful," he said. "She's so talented and she's such a good teacher."

It remains to be seen whether Wynne and Katya can go all the way and win Strictly Come Dancing, but they're certainly off to a good start.
