Strictly’s Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec quit It Takes Two
The professional dancers will be stepping down from their hosting roles on the Strictly spin-off show after two years.
Manrara and Škorjanec confirmed their departure in a statement on social media, saying they had made the “difficult decision” to leave the show to focus on other projects.
Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec have announced they are quitting their roles as hosts of Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two.
The professional dancers, who have been part of the show for the past two years, said on social media they had decided to step down to concentrate on other projects.
In a statement posted on their Instagram accounts, Manrara said: "It's with a heavy heart that we’ve decided to step away from It Takes Two. We'll miss being part of such a special show, but we want to give our all to the projects that we have coming up.".
Škorjanec added: "It's been a privilege to be part of the It Takes Two family for the past two years. We've had such a blast bringing you all the behind-the-scenes gossip and laughter. We'll be back on Strictly soon, but in the meantime, we wish you all the best.".
The couple's departure from It Takes Two comes after a busy year for both of them. Manrara recently released her debut album, Dance With Me, and Škorjanec has been touring the UK with his show, Here Come The Boys.
It is not yet known who will replace Manrara and Škorjanec on It Takes Two. The BBC has said it will be making an announcement in due course.
