Suaalii dropped from Australia's starting XV against Wales in Cardiff
Rugby Australia coach Eddie Jones has made a number of changes to his starting XV for the Wallabies' clash with Wales in Cardiff on Saturday.
The most notable change is the omission of young gun Suaalii from the starting lineup. Suaalii has been one of the Wallabies' most impressive performers in recent weeks, but Jones has opted to start with Marika Koroibete on the wing instead.
Another change in the backline sees Jordan Petaia move from fullback to outside centre, with Reece Hodge taking over at fullback.
In the forwards, Jones has made two changes to the front row, with Angus Bell and Taniela Tupou coming into the starting lineup in place of Matt Gibbon and Tom Robertson.
The other change in the pack sees Darcy Swain replace Cadeyrn Neville in the second row.
Jones said he made the changes to the team based on form and fitness.
"Suaalii is a great young player, but I think Koroibete is in better form at the moment," Jones said.
"I'm also confident that Petaia can do a good job at outside centre, and Hodge is a safe and reliable fullback."
"The changes in the forwards are also based on form and fitness," Jones said.
"Bell and Tupou have both been playing well, and I think they deserve a chance to start."
"Swain is a good young player who has been putting in some big performances, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do against Wales."
The Wallabies will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Scotland last weekend. Wales will be a tough opponent, but Jones is confident that his team can get the job done.
"We know that Wales will be a tough opponent, but we're confident that we can get the win," Jones said.
"We've got a good team, and we're prepared to put in the hard work."
