Teenager's death ruled as unlawful killing
Family pay tribute to 'beautiful, kind and caring' 17-year-old
An inquest into the death of a teenager who died after being stabbed has ruled his death as unlawful killing.
Emergency services were called to an address in Norwich on 21 May following reports that a 17-year-old boy had been stabbed.
The victim, who can now be named as Connor Barrett, was taken to hospital but sadly died a short time later.
An inquest into Connor's death was opened at Norfolk Coroner's Court on Thursday (June 23).
The court heard that Connor died from a single stab wound to the chest.
The inquest was adjourned to a later date.
Connor's family have paid tribute to their "beautiful, kind and caring" son.
In a statement, they said: "Connor was a much-loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.
"He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.
"We are devastated by his loss and will never get over it."
Connor's family have set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for a memorial bench in his memory.
The page has already raised over £3,000.
