Jorge Navarro secured a sensational pole position for the Solidarity Barcelona Moto2 race, setting a blistering lap time of 1:41.324 around the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The Speed Up rider edged out Aron Canet by just 0.043 seconds, with FermÃn Aldeguer completing the front row a further 0.045 seconds adrift.
Cameron Beaubier will start from fourth on the grid after a strong qualifying performance, with Jake Dixon and Alonso Lopez rounding out the top six. Jeremy Alcoba, Albert Arenas, Joe Roberts, and Filip Salac completed the top ten.
The session was red-flagged with just over five minutes remaining after Aldeguer crashed at Turn 10. The Spaniard was able to walk away from the incident, but it brought an early end to qualifying.
