The Albiceleste have called up Giovanni Simeone of Hellas Verona as his replacement
Argentina have called up Giovanni Simeone of Hellas Verona as a replacement for Nahuel Molina, who picked up an injury during the Albiceleste's 3-0 win over Honduras in Miami on Friday.
Molina, who plays his club football for Atletico Madrid, was forced off in the first half of the match with a muscle problem.
The 24-year-old is now a doubt for Argentina's upcoming friendlies against Jamaica and the United Arab Emirates.
Simeone, the son of Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone, has been in impressive form for Hellas Verona this season, scoring four goals in seven Serie A appearances.
The 27-year-old has also been capped once by Argentina, making his debut in a friendly against Chile in 2018.
Argentina will face Jamaica in New Jersey on Tuesday before taking on the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi on November 16.
