Bring Me The Horizon & Poppy Team Up On New Single ‘Heavy Metal’
Bring Me The Horizon have released a brand new single titled ‘Heavy Metal’
The track features Poppy, and is the first new music from the band since their 2020 album ‘Post Human: Survival Horror’.
Poppy stated about the collaboration:
“I’m so excited to finally share ‘Heavy Metal’ with the world,” she said. “It’s a song that’s been in the works for a long time, and I’m so proud of how it turned out. Working with Bring Me The Horizon was an incredible experience, and I think we created something really special together.”
Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes added: “We’ve been fans of Poppy for a long time, so it was an honor to work with her on this song,” he said. “She’s an incredibly talented artist, and we’re so grateful that she wanted to be a part of this project.”
The single is accompanied by a music video, which was directed by Bring Me The Horizon’s longtime collaborator Brian Cox. The video features the band and Poppy performing the song in a variety of settings, including a forest, a warehouse, and a church.
‘Heavy Metal’ is a heavy and aggressive track, with Poppy’s vocals providing a haunting and ethereal contrast to the band’s brutalサウンド. The song is sure to please fans of both Bring Me The Horizon and Poppy, and it’s a promising sign of what’s to come from the band in the future.
Bring Me The Horizon are set to embark on a North American tour in support of ‘Post Human: Survival Horror’ in September. The tour will kick off in San Diego, CA on September 22nd, and will wrap up in Las Vegas, NV on October 22nd. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.
Poppy is set to release her new album, ‘Flux’, on September 23rd. The album will be her first full-length release since her 2020 EP, ‘I Disagree’.
