Double stabbing leaves one man dead and another seriously injured in south Manchester

A murder investigation has been launched after two men were stabbed in Manchester, leaving one dead and the other in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing on Princess Road in the Moss Side area of Manchester at around 6.40pm on Thursday (November 24).
Officers found two men with stab wounds and gave emergency first aid until paramedics arrived.
A murder investigation has been launched, Greater Manchester Police said, as they appeal for witnesses to come forward following the double stabbing.
The two victims were taken to hospital, but one of the men died a short time later, GMP confirmed.
The other man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Moores, of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the man who has sadly died following this awful incident.
“Specially trained officers are supporting them at this difficult time.
“Our investigation is ongoing and we believe there are people out there who have information about what happened but have yet to come forward to speak to us.
“We’d urge anyone with any information to get in touch immediately.”
