Met Office warns of snow and freezing conditions for Northern Ireland
A weather warning has been issued for Northern Ireland as the Met Office predicts snow and freezing conditions.
The yellow weather warning, which is in place from 6pm on Sunday until 10am on Monday, covers the entire country.
The Met Office has warned that snow showers are likely to become more frequent and heavier during the evening and overnight, with the possibility of some significant accumulations in places.
Temperatures are also set to drop, with widespread frost and ice expected. The Met Office has advised people to be aware of the potential for travel disruption and to take extra care when travelling.
The warning comes as the UK experiences a cold snap, with snow and ice already causing disruption in some parts of the country.
In Scotland, the Met Office has issued a number of amber weather warnings for snow and ice, with up to 10cm of snow expected in some areas.
The cold weather is expected to continue for the rest of the week, with further snow and ice possible.
The Met Office has advised people to keep up to date with the latest weather forecasts and to take appropriate action to stay safe.
