Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes' Loose Women future uncertain as stars 'face axe' amid show shake-up
Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes could be facing the axe from Loose Women as part of a major shake-up on the ITV show.
Reports have circulated that the husband-and-wife duo's days on the panel could be numbered as the program undergoes a revamp.
Langsford and Holmes have been mainstays on Loose Women since 2013 and 2016 respectively, but it is believed that bosses are planning to axe several stars to make way for new faces.
An insider told The Sun: "Regular viewers will notice some significant changes to the panel over the coming weeks."
"Loose Women is getting a real revamp as part of a number of changes across ITV daytime."
"This will involve some of the older guard being phased out."
Other stars who could be axed include Andrea McLean, Janet Street-Porter, and Jane Moore.
ITV has declined to comment on the reports but an official announcement is expected in the coming days.
The news comes as a shock to Loose Women viewers, who have come to rely on Langsford and Holmes' chemistry on the show.
Langsford recently celebrated her 62nd birthday and marked the occasion with a series of snaps on Instagram.
Holmes, 62, also took to social media to share a tribute to his wife, writing: "Happy birthday to my best friend...my love...my rock...my everything."
It remains to be seen whether Langsford and Holmes will be part of Loose Women's future, but one thing is for sure: they will be sorely missed if they are axed.
