Stormy weather to batter Edinburgh
Met Office issues yellow warning
Residents warned to beware of ice and snow
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Edinburgh, as the city braces itself for a battering from Storm Darcy.
The warning, which is in place, until 11am on Monday, warns of snow and ice, with some roads and railways likely to be affected.
The Met Office said: "Snow showers will become more frequent and widespread through Sunday and Monday. 2-5 cm of snow is likely at low levels, with 10-15 cm possible over higher ground."
The warning also warns of icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
The Met Office advises people to take extra care when travelling, and to be aware of the potential for disruption to traffic and other services.
The yellow warning is the lowest level of warning issued by the Met Office, and means that people should be aware of the potential for disruption.
